Remember Me as a Time of Day

I stand in awe of the night sky. It's less a window to space as much as it's a window into the past. We are time-travellers.

But we have no idea whether the stars in the night sky are still there, even though we're looking straight at them.

It's like looking at an old, anonymous photograph and wondering about the folks pictured; we can glean much from it except one detail - do they still exist? The night sky or the photograph provides the window, some tell-tale signs but not the whole story.
